The Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) program is available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Through EHV, HUD awarded RIHousing 117 emergency housing choice vouchers to assist individuals and families who are homeless, at-risk of homelessness, fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, or were recently homeless or have a high risk of housing instability.
In accordance with HUD guidelines, RIHousing entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Rhode Island Continuum of Care (RI Coc) and the Rhode Island Coalition to End Homelessness (RICEH) where RICEH identifies and refers eligible households for the EHV program to RIHousing, using the state’s Coordinated Entry System (CES). Applicants will be referred from the CES to RIHousing based on the selection preference(s) for which they qualify.
If families believe that they may be eligible for this program, please complete this form for the Coordinated Entry System EHV Form - English or EHV Form - Spanish
